For new training office accreditation applications –
If the prospective training officer is not already a registered assessor, they must have attended Assessor Training before submitting the application; and be registered as a SAICA Assessor before the accreditation of a training office will be finalised.

Step 2. Training Officer/ Assessor – Regulations 7.9.1
- The Training Officer must be a CA(SA), a SAICA-certified Assessor, and if applicable, an IRBA Registered Auditor (RA) if the office is Audit & Assurance.
- For new accreditations, if the prospective training officer is not already a registered assessor, they must have attended Assessor Training before submitting the application; and be registered as a SAICA Assessor before the accreditation of a training office will be finalised.

Step 3: Application Pack Submission
The application form, which details each accreditation criterion and the type of evidence required, should be completed and submitted. Please ensure you then also include all evidence with your application form. We supply you with templates for ease of use:

Step 4: Application Review
Once we receive your application, we will connect you with our external Training Office Reviewer. The reviewer will evaluate the application with the purpose of presenting it to the TPSC (Training Program Sub Committee) They will also arrange a meeting with the training officer. It is important that the training officer personally attends and discuss the application and supply any further information that the reviewer might require.
Step 5: Evaluation and Recommendation
Following the evaluation, the reviewer will compile a pre-accreditation report for the Training Programme Sub-Committee (TPSC), recommending whether to accredit your organisation. The TPSC, which meets bi-monthly, will make the final decision. SAICA will endeavour to communicate the outcome of the committee decision within 10 days from the meeting.
