Remission request - Academic by trainee

Take Note

If the option is not available to the trainee under the 'Contract Actions' menu, it could be due to any of the following: The trainee's contract status is not yet Active.  Another contract action is currently pending approval. Confirm the status workflow status on TCMS.  The trainee's access role on TCMS might be incorrectly reflected as 'Individual' instead of 'Trainee'.  Confirm whether academic remission was previously awarded. Academic remission may only be granted once under the same training contract. Refer to Section 16: Term and Hours of a Training Contract of the SAICA Training Regulations.

Navigating TCMS

Log on the SAICA Member Portal. Click on the TCMS tile on the lefthand side menu. Click on the Contract Management tile on the lefthand side menu. On the View Contract screen, click on View. On the Training Contract Details screen, click on Action. Click on Remission Contract. Choose Academic Remission as the Remission Type from the dropdown menu. Enter the completion date by clicking on the Calendar icon. Select the Institution using the dropdown menu. Select the Qualification achieved from the dropdown menu. Click on Upload Document to upload the proof of your qualification. Click on Choose File and select the applicable file on your computer. Thereafter, click on Upload.  Click on Submit Request.
